E sperada cada año con ansiedad por los profesionales y apasionados de la relojería, la 22º ceremonia de entrega de premios del Grand Prix d'Horlogerie de Genève, poéticamente presentada por Edouard Baer, se celebró el jueves 10 de noviembre en el Théâtre du Léman de Ginebra.

La Academia GPHG, que agrupa a 650 actores internacionales de la profesión, y el Jurado de 2022 presidido por Nick Foulkes celebraron la excelencia y savoir-faire en relojería al otorgar 21 premios, incluida la famosa distinción Gran Premio «Aiguille D’Or», que fue otorgado a MB&F por el reloj Legacy Machine Sequential Evo.

Las marcas Akrivia, Bulgari, Grand Seiko, Ferdinand Berthoud, Grönefeld, H. Moser & Cie, Hermès, Krayon, M.A.D. Editions, Parmigiani Fleurier, Sylvain Pinaud, TAG Heuer, Trilobe, Tudor, Van Cleef & Arpels y Voutilainen han sido igualmente honradas con uno de los prestigioso premios. El Premio Especial del Jurado, que premia a una personalidad o institución significativo en el mundo de la relojería, fue atribuido este año a François Junod, fabricante de autómatas y escultor. También se otorgó el Premio Young Student Prize 2022 al joven Simon Debaz. Los 90 relojes pre-seleccionados, incluidos los ganadores, se exhiben en el Museo Rath en Ginebra hasta el 20 de noviembre.
